Looking for a fun area to spend some time. Best of all, looking to spend this time in a Castle? Well, if you're passing through Allegany, NY, you've come to the right place. Featuring the Castle Cinema, Castle Motel, and famous Castle Restaurant, what more could aspiring princes and princesses look for?

Seems like that was then and this is now.

As stated in a December update to the site, the landmark Castle Restaurant in Allegany, NY isbeing demolished. In its place will be some sort of strip mall.

According to the November 28, 2005 edition of the OleanTimes Herald, the demolition crew began tearing down the Castle Restaurant for a mixed-use project, including retail shops and restaurant, office space, and residential units. According to the newspaper's source, the Castle began life as gas station.
