Logan, UT

Superior Cleaners in Logan, Utah still features a throwback sign advertising its business. This cleaners also features a drive-in window.

What is attention catching here is the combination of the old sign and the drive-in setup. You don't see many cleaners with this kind of roadside look anymore, especially with a window that lets customers pull right up.

The sign gives the business a nice vintage feel and fits right in with the kind of everyday roadside places that are easy to overlook until you slow down and take a closer look. 09-06

UPDATE: Superior Cleaners remains in business today, and the throwback roadside sign still stands out front. The drive-in window also remains part of the building, giving this Logan cleaners a bit of old-school character. 06-26

Modern Cleaners (Gone)
Brigham City, UT

The Utah town of Brigham City is home to Modern Cleaners. This laundry business has a deco look to both the sign and building. It looks like the marquee above the front door once displayed the Modern Cleaners lettering in neon. From the looks of things, the neon had already been stripped out by the time this photo was taken.

What is attention catching here is the architecture. The curved lines, streamlined appearance, and remaining marquee give the building a distinctive Art Deco look that stands out along Main Street.

Even without the neon, it's not hard to imagine how striking this place must have looked when the sign was fully lit and operating as intended. 09-06

UPDATE: Modern Cleaners is no longer in business. The building and sign may be gone. 06-26
