Roadside Art Great Plains

Roadside America has always had room for the unexpected, and this homemade Robot is a perfect example. Built from old propane tanks and other recycled metal parts, this friendly giant once stood watch over a parking lot in Muskogee, greeting curious motorists with a little mechanical personality. It's the kind of quirky roadside attraction that makes you hit the brakes for a closer look.

Whoever built the robot clearly had a good imagination, transforming discarded propane cylinders into a one-of-a-kind piece of folk art. Whether it was meant to advertise a business or simply bring a smile to passing travelers, it certainly succeeded in becoming a memorable stop for anyone exploring Oklahoma's back roads. 01-06
