The Dubois Drug Store has a definite western theme. Check out the old marquee on the front of the building. Located in the heart of downtown Dubois, this longtime drug store is a throwback to an earlier era, complete with an old-fashioned soda fountain and vintage jukebox.
The store has been serving the community since the early 1930s and remains one of the town's best-known landmarks. Like many small-town drug stores of the past, it was more than just a place to pick up medicine. It also served as a gathering place where locals could grab a milkshake, catch up on the latest news, and spend a little time visiting with friends.
UPDATE: The Dubois Drug and Sundries is still open, though the old sign is now gone. In an interesting twist, the store operated for decades without an on-site pharmacist before pharmacy services were restored in 2018. While the marquee may have disappeared, the historic store continues to serve the community from its longtime home in downtown Dubois. 07-25

Anderson Drug was an old-fashioned neighborhood drug store located in downtown Ephraim, Utah. The business traced its roots back to 1910 and became a longtime fixture of the community. Like many classic small-town pharmacies, Anderson Drug was known as much for its hospitality as it was for filling prescriptions.
Over the years, the store became something of a local institution. Customers could browse antique displays, pick up a gift or floral arrangement, or simply enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere. The historic building even featured a soda fountain that helped make Anderson Drug feel like a throwback to an earlier era.
UPDATE: Following the retirement of the third generation of the Anderson family, Anderson Drug closed its doors in 2019 after an impressive 109-year run. Fortunately, the historic building survives and has found a new life as Pueblo Chico Market. While the pharmacy is gone, it's nice to see the old storefront still serving the community in a different way. 07-25
