Here's the Forty One Cafe located along Highway 41 in Lemoore, CA. Check out the little burger guy on top of the roof holding the burger and frosted over mug. He appears to be from the A&W family of burger statues. 12-10

Carpeteria Man (Gone)

A friendly sight off the road is the Carpeteria Genie in Bakersfield, CA. This guy has been holding up the Carpeteria sign lettering for many years.

Well, around the turn of the century, Carpeteria was on shaky financial footing and Carpeteria appeared o be a going concern. It turns out that Carpeteria and the name survived but the genie did not in most of the locations including the one here in Bakersfield.
