A truly amazing looking work of art, the Loma Theater sports some of the best neon this side of the Mississippi. Now a Bookstar, the Loma marquee is fortunately still intact.
A nice place to check out plays is Spreckels Theatre on Broadway St. in San Diego. Not interested in the arts? Then go have a drink at one of the taverns in the other section.
Just up the strand from the famous Hotel del Coronado is the Coronado Playhouse. A nice place to see a relaxing play if you're in the area.
