Roadside Attractions Las Vegas

Old Vegas opened its doors in the 1970s and was a really neat place to go. The western theme park had many attractions including a mystery mine, a carousel, a train ride, a small casino (of course!) and a gunfight every hour! The inside of the fort looked like a town in the Old West.

Unfortunately, the lack of tourists and a fire in the mystery mine forced the ailing fort to close its doors forever in 1988! Wally's Wagon Wheel Casino was planned for the location, but the deal never went through. The building was demolished in 2000 after being vacant for over 10 years. A residential area is being developed on its location.
