The Boots Motel in picturesque Carthage, MO sits alongside the 66. Rumors have it that this old lodging establishment is now for sale. Hopefully this motel treasure will find a new owner with an interest in preservation.

Speaking of preservation, the 66 Drive-in Theatre in Carthage, MO is a fine example of a drive-in theatre that was preserved and restored rather than demolished by a wrecking ball. The 66 Drive-in now shows movies and is kept up in great condition. Be sure to visit the gift shop next door.
