Ye Barber (Gone)

This barber shop called Ye Barber is in the same shopping center as the La
Palma Chicken Pie shop. Knights of the Round Tabled to ye
barber. Actually, the original owners were from Vietnam, and

A haircut and a chicken pie could make for a productive stop at Ye Barber in Fullerton. Located in the same shopping center as the La Palma Chicken Pie Shop, the little shop featured a sign whose name might bring knights and castles to mind.
The sign had made quite a journey before settling into this Orange County storefront. Word is the original owners brought it with them from Vietnam when they moved to the United States, giving this neighborhood barber shop a story that stretched well beyond the shopping center.
UPDATE: Ye Barber has closed, and its old sign has been removed. Other tenants have taken over the storefront, changing another piece of the familiar shopping-center scene. 10-26
Windsor Flowers (Rem.)

Check out the lettering across Windsor Flowers on Slauson Avenue. Individual arched white panels spell out “WINDSOR” along the roofline, giving this neighborhood flower shop a look that’s hard to mistake for the next storefront down the street.
Above the corner, an old pole sign adds another layer with its flowing script. Between the roofline letters and the roadside message board, there was plenty of advertising before anyone even reached the bouquets.
UPDATE: The location at 4745 W. Slauson Avenue continued in the flower business as Windsor Florist, also known as Windsor Florist the Original. The exterior and signs received a newer look over the years, changing the familiar frontage shown here. 10-26
