The Munger Moss Motel is a Route 66 standby. The neon sign is a famous part of the old route and always appears to be in good shape. The motel was built in 1946 and originally had 14 cabins. More information can be found on the Munger Moss website. 01-08
The Rest Haven Court is another of the Route 66 motels that sport gems of a sign. The motel was built in 1947 and is located off the Mother Road in Springfield, IL. 01-08
Bayfield, WI is home to Greunke's Inn. Check out the neon as it glows here. According to the Greunke's Inn website, the First Street Inn has been in business for over 139 years. The Greunke's Restaurant is also open during the months of April through October. 01-08
The Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, MO was built in 1946. The Wagon Wheel is very well known for its nice accommodations and great neon sign that features an arrow outline that blinks on and off, pointing the way into the cabins. 01-08
The Long Ships Motel features an old marquee with very thin neon tubing showing off the motel name. 09-08
The Skyline Motel is located off the I-75 in Sault Ste Marie, MI. 09-08
Check out the Lawson Motel which advertises its amenities on it marquee out front. 09-08
The La France Terrace Motel is another roadside favorite found in this Michigan town. 09-08
The Arrowhead Motel on the older US 31 route is still in business, however the sign is no longer neon, but just a painted version of the lettering. 12-08
The Shady Shore Motel was just down the older US 31 alignment from the Arrowhead, but it and the sign are no longer there. Another old roadside motel and neon sign has disappeared off the highway. 12-08
