Here's an old roadside auto sign treasure. This mid-century sign with close to 5,000 bulbs points the way in to Courtesy Chevrolet. Its huge sign that is quite an eye-catching sight. The car dealership opened its doors on site in 1957.

UPDATE 02/11 : Since these photos were taken, the huge marquee was threatened and removed from its original location. Fortunately, the sign was saved and moved to a new location on Camelback Road. The sign used to have incandescent bulbs which have since been replaced with LED bulbs like many other signs from yesteryear. 02-11

 

This old marquee at Southern Arizona Auto graces an equally old building advertising these GM cars in Douglas, AZ. Since this photo was taken, Oldsmobile and Pontiac have dropped off the GM brand list.

The Roadrunner Auto Exchange is a cool sign located along Van Buren in Phoenix. The Roadrunner looks like it had neon on it and appears to be carefully crafted, The business has changed names a couple of times since this photo was taken in the early 2000's and is now Singh Motorsports. 11-20

Here's an old auto dealership called Ames Brothers which is found in Winslow, AZ. Located along Route 66, Ames Brothers or Ames Bros is a Lincoln Mercury dealership. Today, the location is empty and while the building is still there, it is completely bare of any identification. 09-21
