Brad's Restaurant in Pismo Beach features a full blown fish in neon to catch the eye of both locals and tourists. It appears to have been around since the 1950's.

White Elephant (Sign removed)
Taft, CA

Check out the sign outside the White Elephant Steak House in Taft, CA. This elephant looks like the GOP logo.

UPDATE 06/05 : The sign had been replaced with a plastic backlit sign for a Mariscos Mexican restaurant. The only trace of the elephant was on the metal gate in the front, and they had covered it up with their open sign. I don't know if the sign was trashed or saved. Many thanks to Tony Craig for update. 06-05

This neon sign can be found on the rooftop of the Pub's Prime Rib restaurant in Salinas, CA. Check out how the lettering stands out against the sky, especially when the sun is starting to set.

How about another western themed restaurant? This one is for the Wagon Wheel Steakhouse. So if you're ever in the Visalia area in the mood for cruising Mooney Blvd, check out the Wagon Wheel's sign.

This little piggy went to the .... Bar-B-Q Pit restaurant in Merced, CA. Actually, the character outside this eatery is a rather large piggy.

Though not quite a big piggy, the sheep out top this marquee for the Wool Growers Restaurant, looks to be quite a fella. "Ooh, what big horns you have..."
