The Del Mar Motel in Fresno glows proudly at night. Here's a shot of the marquee in the day.
The Palms Motel in Santa Maria still somewhat glows, well at least a third of the letters, along the road. And yes, color TV can be found here.
The Fresno Motel's neon sign partially lights up.
Just off the 99 near Kingsburg, CA is the Riverland Motel and its tall neon sign. A friendly and familiar sight, this marquee served as sort of a beacon to those traveling up an down the 99. At least it was. The Riverland Motel is still here. This marquee is not. Yes... it's true. It's been backlit plasticized.

Here's the sign that sits atop the roof of the motel. The neon points the way in.
Here's a very familiar sight as you travel up and down the 99, especially at night. At dusk, the neon lit sign of the Casa Grande Motel draws your attention, much like an old friend.
The neon sign for the White's Motel in Mojave glows brightly at night. Check out the big red arrow pointing the way to the motel office. Update 02/08 :
