Here's the marquee that used to adorn the Campus Drive-in Theatre. Though the Campus is now demolished, the neon majorette still lights up the sky in San Diego.

Motor Vu Drive-in Theatre
Imperial, CA
RoadsidePeek.com

Whew, what is that smell? On a hot, humid evening in Imperial, California, the Motor Vu Drive-in Theatre sits and waits for its first car. And sits. And waits even more. Was it the putrid smell, or the high humidity? Whatever it was, cars weren't exactly storming through the gates on this typical summer evening.

The lot is home to a classic marquee, worth the price (or drive) of admission alone. Just don't be like yours truly and head the wrong way on Aten Road despite racing against the sun.

Welcome to the infamous Harbor Drive-by (oops, "Drive-In") Theatre in National City. According to the photographer, "It ain't Fenway, but this is one Big Green Monster." This place is open year-round.

Escondido Drive-in
Escondido, CA

Also in the Escondido area are the remnants of the old Escondido Drive-in Theatre. Now a year-round swap meet, this theatre projected its last picture in the 80's.

Santee Drive-In Theatre
Santee, CA

In the mood for a movie? But in a quandary, because you also feel like being outdoors? If you're in the Santee area, you're in luck.

Off Woodside in Santee is the Santee Drive-in Movie Theatre. Open year round, this is one of the last remaining open theatres in San Diego. Stop by while you still can.

South Bay Drive-In
Imperial Beach, CA

No graffiti, no gunshots, and no busted ovens here at the South Bay Drive-In in Imperial Beach, CA. This place is a pretty boring locale. Another drive-in that's open year-round.
