Check out the Long Beach Golf Man here, sporting his classic golf outfit.
Here's Tony now in his upright position. Now this wasn't always the case...
Here's Tony, the friendly muffler man from East Los Angeles. Glad to say that he's no longer indisposed and standing tall along the side of the road. Of course, a little rest never hurt anyone!
Here's a big man with a mischievous grin. This Van Nuys Man is located in, yes, Van Nuys, California. Update 7/01: The Van Nuys Man now has a new look! After shaving off his beard and with hair neatly groomed, this guys looks ready to hit the town. Photo courtesy Adriene Biondo
Sergio, Tony's neighbor a few miles away in East Los Angeles sports a pretty classy checkered shirt. Either that, or he's auditioning to be the checkered flag at the next race at the Fontana California Speedway.
Update 07/03 : The Midas Man no longer graces the rooftop of the Midas shop. 07-03 Update 03/05 : The Midas Man has now turned up intact in a yard in Unger, WV. Many thanks to George Pulley for update. 03-05
Vista used to be home to the very friendly Jenkins Muffler Man. However, thanks to a 8/28/99 eyewitness report, the Jenkins Man has been removed from the site. Many thanks to Lance Chang for update.
Malibu, California is well known for its great beach. Malibu is perhaps better known for the La Salsa Man. This former Burger Man now sports a south of the border cuisine in his tray. Classy sombrero too! The makeover of the La Salsa man was done by artist Bob Wade in 1988.
The Joor Muffler Man in Escondido is really quite handsome. From his finely groomed moustache to the neatly combed hair, the Joor man is a credit to his fellow man. Plus, he even dresses up for the holidays! Do you believe in Santa Joor? How about Santa Joor?
No, this isn't some kind of funny Halloween joke. This guy has no head! Fortunately, Scott from the El Monte Sign Company in El Monte, CA is undergoing some great plastic surgery. "Scott" was once a miniature golf man in Duarte, CA, but found a great new home here years back. The El Monte Sign Co. has designed much of the neon signage in the San Gabriel Valley and its only fitting that a prime big man stand on the premises.
Wow, there really are flies around here! That's the comment most would say as they visit Mecca, CA, site of the Mecca Man. This guy stands out in front of a bait shop near the Salton Sea. The area smells just a bit and flies are everywhere!
The Mentone Man is located in someone's private backyard! Along with the head of a Statue of Liberty copy, this Mentone guy greets or scares passersby in this quaint town. Oh, don't forget to grab some of the best local beef jerky at the store down the street.
