The Sands Motel in Las Cruces, NM still features its old marquee in front of the motel.
Here's a shot of an old Route 66 standby. The El Vado Motel of Albuquerque, NM. The El Vado's neon is still in great condition and the motel itself is worth a stay if you're spending the night in Albuquerque. The motel opened in 1937 along busy Central Avenue. Update 01/06 : The El Vado Motel is now closed and in danger of being demolished. 01-06
The Imperial Sky Motel looks to be one of the remnants of the Imperial 400 motel chain that used to be quite prevalent in every town.
The Whiting Bros. Motel marquee still stands tall of the old road and is plain sight of the I40.
The Blue Spruce Lodge in Gallup, NM features an unique old neon sign in shape of the motel name it advertises.
The Colonial Motel marquee still stands tall above Route 66 in Gallup.
The El Hopi Motel is an old roadside establishment somewhat away from the main drag.
The Sunshine Motel off one of the Route 66 alignments in Las Vegas, NM still shines off the roadside. Check out the image of the smiling face sun on the marquee. Paradise Motel Here's the Paradise Motel and its image of a diver on its marquee. This sign and motel is located off the main highway in Tucumcari, NM.
