Route 66Not sure where the motel building itself went, but the marquee for the Los Alamitos Motel still stands proudly along the roadside.

UPDATE 01/07 : The Los Alamitos Motel looks like it was a grand old marquee back in its day. Today, the motel marquee stands guard over a vacant lot.

UPDATE 11/20 : The Los Alamitos Motel sign was sawed off a year ago and is now gone. Word is the sign disappeared in September 2019 and is in the hands of the Garcia Automotive Group. This sign and several others from Route 66 are housed at Gloria Station near Albuquerque.

Route 66Here's an older shot of the Zia Motel, back when it was still open and doing business.

Well, permanence is not a word that's uttered much these days, especially as the roadside motels drop by the wayside. More recent change is the Zia Motel now for sale.

UPDATE 11/20 : The Zia was renovated from a motel and converted to a professional office suite Based upon frequents over the past years, it does not appear that the suites are occupied. Unfortunately, another Zia Motel has bit the dust.
