The Zia Lodge in New Mexico still features the emblem of New Mexico. This motel appears to be in fine shape.

The Pony Soldier Motel and its sign still stands tall on Route 66 in Tucumcari.
Here's the Knight's Motel from Las Vegas... New Mexico that is. This place also prominently advertises its restaurant services, along with cable, color TV, air conditioning, kitchenettes........
This old faded sign for the El Coronado Motel in Gallup still stands, though not nearly as tall as in its heyday.
Here's an old motel that's starting to show its age. The Wayside Motel in Grants, New Mexico still features its old roadside sign out front.
The Western Motel in Deming, NM features a couple of roadside marquees. Here's the large one that's right off the main highway that passes through town.
Here's an old abandoned motel that was still standing off of Route 66 in Thoreau, NM.
Travel along Route 66 through Tucumcari and you'll come across the Blue Swallow Motel. The Blue Swallow is one of the roadside motel treasures that you read about in books and see in videos. Originally owned and operated by Lillian Redman, the Blue Swallow has been carefully restored by owners Dale & Hilda Bakke. This is a must stop.
