Tucumcari, NM is the home to the Safari Motel and this classic sign. The Safari Motel was built in the 1950's. According to YourHub.com, the motel was purchased by Smalltown America in December 2007 and is being restored. The motel is partially open now and will be fully open in June 2008 with rooms available for a fitting $66 a night. 03-07
The Palomino Motel is a venerable Route 66 motel in Tucumcari. The motel sign was changed over from a snorting palomino some time ago. 03-07
