This humorous looking figure outside The Light Bulb Shop looks like someone running for office with a great idea popping into his head.

Just check out that tie... someone.

UPDATE 11/20 : The Light Bulb Shop has brought a smile to locals and travelers alike with its soon to be iconic sign on top of the front entrance. The Light Bulb Shop became a business around 1980 and opened the doors on its Austin location at 6318 Burnet Road in 2001.

Unfortunately this store has been hard hit by higher property taxes and increased competition for light bulbs in recent years. So like many other venerable Austin businesses, the shop shut down its location on Burnet Road in 2018.
