Palm Crest Motel's sign says both motel and apartments these days. The
neon glow from the sign brings a reminder that these are the good old
days, at least for now.
This huge sign for the Isle of Capri Motel sits on the motels rooftops in North Wildwood. Fortunately the condo kick hasn't reached this treasure yet.
This colorful neon marquee advertises the Bird of Paradise Motel in North Wildwood. As night falls, many of the signs in the area come alive, including this gem.
The Sahara Motel in North Wildwood features a neon marquee worthy of the name Sahara.
The Central Motor Inn in North Wildwood features neon on its relatively newer appearing marquee.
How about the Ivanhoe Motel and its rooftop neon sign. This sign can be seen for blocks at night.
The Florentine Motor Inn still appears to be in business in the North Wildwood area of the Jersey shore. Check out the basic, yet unique, sign for this motor inn.
Flame Inn Motel (Demolished) The flame still lights up in North Wildwood at the Flame Inn along Bayberry.
The 24th Street Motel features a very eye-catching neon sign. The marquee sports multi-colored neon and interesting shapes, guaranteed to catch the eye of locals and tourists alike. The motel was demolished in September 2005 to make way for yet more condos.
