Pinky's Pizza

Along Petaluma Boulevard, the old marquee for Pinky's Pizza is hard to miss. Pinky's, pizza, Petaluma: that's a lot of P's in one stop. The colors look straight out of the 1960s, and the sign still gives passing traffic something to look at.
Pinky's opened in 1962 as Petaluma's first pizza parlor. The restaurant is still serving pizza at the same spot along what was once Highway 101. Step inside and the old ovens are still there, too.
UPDATE: The vintage sign was restored in 2022, bringing its animated lights back to life. Pinky's is still open, so there's time to catch the marquee after dark and grab a pizza while you're there. 09-26
Fisherman's Pizza

At Fisherman's Wharf, even the pizza signs got into the fishing business. The sign for Fisherman's Pizza showed a fisherman with his line dangling toward a glowing pizza. Looks like he was fishing for pepperoni. 02-07
The pizzeria sat in Anchorage Square, where Beach and Leavenworth meet. With all the visitors wandering through the Wharf, that fisherman had a pretty good spot to show off his catch.
UPDATE: Fisherman's Pizzeria has closed, and its fisherman sign has been removed. Where the sign ended up is a mystery, but this 2007 photo caught him before he reeled in for good. 09-26
John's Incredible Pizza

Here is John's Incredible Pizza Co. It is an All You Can Eat Food And Fun place located on North Sunrise Blvd. in Roseville (in the Sacramento area). They serve a variety of pizzas along with a soup & salad bar, a potato & pasta variety bar, a desert bar, and of course a beverage bar . They have 7 different themed rooms . It is a reasonable place to take the family . Both kids and adults alike can enjoy this place . Think of a Chuck E. Cheese combined with a Souplantation and maybe even a Fuddruckers or an old Farrell's . That is what it is like all in one . You can feel good times and fun in the atmosphere. There’s pizza, and then there’s John’s Incredible Pizza in Roseville. The sign along Sunrise Avenue makes a big promise. Inside, the place has enough games and rides to turn a quick pizza stop into an afternoon expedition.
This Roseville location opened in 2007 with a buffet, themed dining rooms, an arcade, and indoor attractions. It’s a newer roadside sight than most of the signs around here, but the name alone earns a second look. How incredible can a pizza be? There’s one way to find out.
