Snow Cap Drive-in

A roadside treasure along Route 66, the Snow Cap in
Seligman delights with the antics of Juan Delgadillo, one of the legends
of the Mother Road. Travelers along the Arizona stretch of Route 66 commonly
stop at the Snow Cap for food and the friendly service.
The Snow Cap was built in 1953 by Juan and Mary Delgadillo. The eatery was built out of scrap lumber Juan collected while working for the railroad. More information can be found at this website.
Below are photos of Juan Delgadillo at his mischievous best. He could always be counted on to bring a smile to folks he encountered, both regulars and first time visitors. Sadly, Mr. Delgadillo passed away June 2, 2004. More info can be found on this well written write-up. We will forever miss you.
Hmm, what's
up his sleeve?

Hamburger King (Gone)

The Hamburger King not only featured a good burger but also a refreshing ice cream cone on a hot summer day. This photo was taken in 1999. I don't believe this place is around anymore. 06-23
