Tucson Inn
Tucson, AZ

Tucson, Arizona - The Tucson Inn is located along the Miracle Mile Historic District. The 63 unit motel was built in 1953 and appeared as an example of mid-century modern architecture. The Tucson Inn was designed by architect Anne Jackson Rysdale. The motel also once hosted well known names such as Rita Hayworth and Earnest Hemingway.

The Tucson Inn closed in May 2017 due to various building violations. In speaking with the owner Susie Lin, she hopes to reopen in the fall or perhaps may retire as she is reaching nearly 40 years of ownership. In either case, she believes that the iconic sign will remain. Here's hoping for a reopening. 09-17
