The Casa Grande Motel of Petaluma features a decades old sign that appears to be from the 60's.
Here's a funky looking sign for the San Juan Motel. This motel sign is a flashback to the days when big bold letter strokes and eye catching colors were still in vogue. Americana Lodge The Americana Lodge still features its all American colors and bald eagle atop the marquee.
The Thunderbird Lodge in Redding features a colorful marquee at the street side advertising its services.
Here's a nice red sign for the King's Hwy Motel in Santa Clara. The arrow still points to the office, though the bulbs don't look like they're all there.
Referring to its roots alongside the 99, the Motel 99 in Redding looks to be an old motor court that is still in business.
Here's an old sign for the Plaza Motel, found in the Sacrament area. Not sure if the neon still lights up.
The Woodland Court features one of those signs that exhibit character from its sun baked colors to the vintage lettering.
Here's a close-up shot of the Foothills Motel marquee that towers high alongside Highway 80 in auburn. Not quite sure why a barrel is sitting atop a motel marquee but oh well.
