Here's the Cafe Voltaire's Ban-Dar of Ventura. While in the area, check out one of the hot bands that are in town. Unfortunately, the Ban-Dar closed down and was demolished in 2002. Any place with a name like the Outrigger must be a good place to visit. Check out this marquee.
If you're in the Garden Grove area of Orange county, check out the humdinger of a neon sign at Humdinger's.
Here's a couple of shots of a Van Nuys fave... The Liquid Zoo. An interesting name for a bar. Check out the neon lettering on the side of the building.
The marquee for Barney Steele's is an old vintage sign that appears bronzed in the latter day sunlight.
The Shamrock Club features a good looking sign that may be of more recent vintage.
Here's an interesting place to find beer. Well, the sign itself for the Doll Hut is worthy of checking out.
Looking to chill for the evening amidst good tunes and company? Well, not sure if The Melody Lounge is the place but the name sure sounds good. Update 02/05 : The Melody Lounge has been torn down and the lot is now the parking area for a new Walgreens Drug Store. 02-05
Check out the Bambu Hut marquee. A good looking neon type of sign, the Bambu Hut also has an ATM inside! Update 03/05 : The Bambu Hut is history. Many thanks to Dan MacPherson for update. 03-05
The marquee for the Boos Tavern is a cute little sign that seems like it belongs at Disneyland's Storybook ride.
