Just seeing this image of the Rose Motel brings out a gentle aromatic smell in the air. Well, not quite, but this still is a good lookin' marquee. Check out the detail on the neon rose and lettering.

The Hi-Way Host Motel still lights up the sky with its lodging specials along what may have been old Route 66. The motel marquee is in as good a shape as its ever been.

Wagon Wheel Motel (Closed)

The Wagon Wheel motel and restaurant complex is a familiar sight as you pass Oxnard traveling along the 101 Freeway.

Unfortunately, the Wagon Wheel Motel is threatened with demolition after this historic property closed is doors on December 10, 2006 and the last tenant left the premises. 01-07
