The Capri Motel features a great looking marquee that's still in its original condition. This motel lies somewhere along the California Route 66.

The Palms Motel is a grand looking old marquee pointing wayward travelers to its lodging site.

Desert Inn

The Desert Inn in San Bernardino carries the same name as a vintage Vegas casino.

Off Route 66 and near the Foothill Azusa Drive-in Theatre in Azusa is the Stardust Moteland its 50's space age lettering.

UPDATE : The Stardust marquee was removed and replaced with a backlit plastic sign.

Looking for a rather friendly cowboy on a motel marquee? Well, don't forget to stop when you see this one for the "Cowboy" Motel.



Dunes Motel

Here's a nice shot of the Dunes Motel that used to grace Rosemead Blvd. in Pico Rivera. As a matter of fact, the two motels seen below were in the same cluster of mid-century lodging in the Pico area.
