The tall Para-Lamo shopping center sign towers over traffic at the intersection of Paramount and Del Amo in Bellflower. Well, used to. The Para-Lamo sign was taken down recently and a CVS drug store has been built in its place.

Check out the Norwalk Town Square sign for a shopping center in Norwalk. The huge sign looks like some sort of fountain or space age filament reaching up to the heavens.

Valley Plaza

Many shopping centers marquees like this one for the Valley Plaza were built with the use of multiple pillars, space age looking cross centers, and balanced leg beams. The Valley Plaza sign looks like it has two legs and is about to walk away. This is a googie sign at its best.

Here's an old postcard view of the Santa Fe Springs Shopping Center back in the day. This shopping center sign used to be located at the corner of Telegraph and Pioneer. 04-06
