Gulf Gas Station
Bedford, Pennsylvania Photo and info courtesy Moon Mullins OX-76
This Art Deco gas station is featured from time to time on PBS television.
The Gulf Station is the original cookie, unrestored from the 1930's.
Classic "flying wedge" litestand (between gas pumps) manufactured
by two companies, Flair and Willoughby, in the 50's & 60's. This is
a "must-see" if you're ever in the Bedford, PA area.

A "standard Route 1 drive-thru gas station." This gas
station is still in great condition with barrel-tile roof, and a pressed
tin ceiling under pull-thru. The pumps are now gone but poles and standards
are still standing guard, less signage. Next door is an old car repair
garage probably dating back to the 1930's or 40's.
