Majestic Theatre

When you are afoot in NYC, you can't miss the Majestic Theatre. Especially if you are a Phantom of the Opera fan. Home to a record breaking number of performances of the show since it opened in January 1988, it is the longest running production in Broadway history.

The Majestic opened in 1927 in the Spanish style. The theater is currently owned by the Shubert Organization.

Neil Simon Theatre

Here is the well known Neil Simon Theatre located along West 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan's Theater District. The theater opened in 1927 as the Alvin Theatre. Over the years, the theater has featured star performers such as Lucille Ball, Liza Minneli and Fred Astaire.

The theatre was designated a New York City landmark in 1985. 05-20

 

 

New York Sight Seeing

Here's what looks like an old theater building that is now home to the New York Sight Seeing, at least it was back in the early 2000's. It would interesting to see what this building used to be home to back in the day. 05-20

 

 

Palace Theater

The Palace Theater was built in 1913 as a famous vaudeville house. It continued to host these performances until the death of vaudeville sometime in the 1930's. The theater has been home to many famous and well known performances such as Sunset Boulevard and Beauty and the Beast as well as performer such as Bette Midler, Diana Ross, and Judy Garland. 05-20

 

 

Belasco Theatre

The Belasco Theatre is another Broadway theater that opened in 1907 in midtown-Manhattan. Another one of the Shubert owned theaters, the venue was purchased in 1949. Prior to the Shuberts, the theater was owned by David Belasco. Word is that after his death, the theater is frequently haunted by his ghosts. 05-20
