Here's a couple of shots the Kwik Way Hamburgers in Oakland, CA. This old time burger joint still features lettering and lighting from years back, 1956 to be exact.

Here's a shot of the front of the Kwik Way. This drive-in was recently in the news when residents and preservationists were successful in stalling McDonald's from replacing and demolishing the Kwik Way.

UPDATE 04/11 : The Kwik Way closed down and has been reopened as the Park Way Drive in. 04-11

UPDATE 12/14 : The Kwik Way was closed down on August 1, 2014. The place is now home a Merritt Bakery, if only for temporary purposes. The buiding is still destined to be demolished and turned into condos. 12-14
