The neon still glows at the venerable Lady Luck in downtown Las Vegas. The Lady Luck was originally named Honest Johns Newstand and Smokeshop before changing to its well known name in 1968. The first tower opened in 1986.

UPDATE 05/06 : The Lady Luck Hotel has been shut down for remodeling. 05-06

UPDATE 12/12 : Redevelopment work on the former Lady Luck Hotel and Casino is underway, with the new hotel to be called Downtown Grand. The new hotel will be an anchor for a revitalized area around Third Street with new bars and restaurants coming. 12-12
