Here are a couple of neon shots of the Del Mar Motel, along busy Las Vegas Boulevard. This motel was closed down in May 2005 and the most recent news is that the motel was bulldozed and is now residing at the big lodge in the sky. Another familiar sight from Vegas has now disappeared off the roadside landscape.
Here's a shot of the neon sign that used to grace the Black Jack Motel off the Boulder Highway. Unfortunately the motel was torn down during the summer of 2006. 08-06
Check out this shot of the Cactus Motel and its neon cactus and lettering. 09-06

The Vagabond Motel on the Las Vegas Strip featured a neon sign that fit in with the rest of the Vegas glitz. The Palazzo Hotel now has escalators in its place. 07-07
The Desert Rose Motel featured a dramatic neon sign in front of the motel. The Desert Rose was demolished and replaced by the Monte Carlo in the 1990's. 07-07
Here's the Desert Hills Motel sign, from back in the day when the neon still graced the sign and worked. 07-07
Har-Lee's Motel was located near the Vegas Chalet Motel in North Las Vegas. In recent years, Har-Lee's was demolished and replaced with a small strip center of stores. 12-08
Check out this rustic looking sign for the Hitchin' Post Motel, located off the main drag in North Las Vegas. While many of the old signs are disappearing in the area, this marquee still stands. The Hitchin' Post appears to have turned into a RV Park in recent years, while still having a saloon and restaurant in the complex. 12-08
