Del Mar Motel (Demolished)
Las Vegas, NV

Here are a couple of neon shots of the Del Mar Motel, along busy Las Vegas Boulevard. This motel was closed down in May 2005 and the most recent news is that the motel was bulldozed and is now residing at the big lodge in the sky. Another familiar sight from Vegas has now disappeared off the roadside landscape.

Here's a nice marquee for the Vegas Chalet Motel. This arrow is featured prominently, pointing the way to the parking lot. It's always good to see motels with full working neon, especially in Las Vegas these days.

UPDATE 05/06 : The marquee for the Vegas Chalet was removed a few years ago. 05-06

The Nevada Motel sign is another sign rescued and now sits at the Neon Museum. The motel dates the 1950s and was the first sign to feature "Vegas Vic".
