Inn. This roadside sign has been featured in numerous publications
due to its rather eye-catching choice of colors and circle theme.
UPDATE 07/06 : The Circle Inn was demolished in early 2006. 12-08
This tall motel sign can be seen from quite a ways. This Motel is located
in Fort Worth, TX. Not sure what this motel was named and this photo was taken two decades ago. It would be interesting to learn what the name is and the history of this place.
Trade Winds Motel

Motel and its huge marquee with palm tree. This motel is a good reminder of the days when the mom and pop motels were the only place to stay when traveling across the country and well prior to the chain motels.

along the roadways of Austin, TX.
Crest Motel (Rem.)

Off of Camp Bowie Blvd in Fort Worth sits this sign for the Crest
Motel. This place advertises TV is big letters.
UPDATE : Well the Crest Motel is still open two decades later but the sign is long gone. 07-23
Landmark Lodge Motel

Though it is now surrounded by relatively new development, the Landmark
Lodge lives on. The place does look strange from the outside
during power outages... especially when there are reports of twisters
somewhat nearby.
Word is the motel was built in the mid-1950s. Word is the immense sign was built for $200,000 by a family named the Robinsons who had moved from the state of Washington.
