Check out this huge neon sign out front the Acropolis Coffee Shop. It's always nice to see these huge marquees in this day of local sign ordinances.



Granada Hills, CA

In Granada Hills is a good example of the IHOP A-frame restaurant building. IHOP aka the International House of Pancakes opened in Toluca Lake, California in 1958. The last of the famous A-frame buildings with IHOP's signature look was built in 1983.





M&M Soul Food

This old coffee shop belongs to the M&M Soul Food in Inglewood. Check out the overhang over the front sidewalk and the side views. 04-06



Hody's (Removed)
Lakewood, CA

The Hody's Restaurant was a Lakewood, California icon. Formerly located at the corner of Lakewood Blvd and Candlewood Ave, near the Lakewood Center, the restaurant closed down around 1970. The location was noted for its fine restaurant and drive-in service girls. 12-06

Here's the former Crystal's Coffee as it stood back in the day in Montebello, CA. Check out the classic coffee shop look of the restaurant and marquee. Unfortunately, Crystal's was torn down several years ago. 01-07

Ollie's Coffee Shop (Closed)

Here's a familiar sign to those that pass down the I-15 on the way between Vegas and L.A. This "EAT" sign stands guard over the Ollie's restaurant building that's been vacant for many years. 07-07
