The 3 Bears Motel in Seattle shows a papa, mama, and baby bear on its marquee, adding to an impression of family accommodations. 07-08

 

UPDATE 04/17 : The West View now occupies the motel where the 3 Bears used to sleep. The sign is gone. 04-17

The Max Ivor Motel found along this busy roadside landscape in Seattle shows off the character in its marquee. This property was for lease when this photo was taken. 07-08

 

UPDATE 04/17 : The Max Ivor Motel on Highway 99 at 6188 4th Ave S, Seattle first opened its doors in 1943. The motel eventually closed in 1988. On a postcard advertising the motel it claimed to be "Seattle's Finest Motel" on Highway 99. 04-17

Here's one of the familiar Travel Inn motel marquee, this one located in Tacoma. The property is fenced off here so not sure if the place is still around. 07-08

The Hillside Motel is another of the roadside motel treasures along Aurora Avenue. 07-08

 

UPDATE 04/17 : The motel is still open but the cool marquee is long gone. There is a colorful cardboard looking sign there now. 04-17
