The Harris Funeral Home also features neon lettering, not to mention
"funeral insurance." Neon marquees for funeral parlors and churches
were quite prevalent back in the day, but are more of a rare sight these
days.

'Rug Cleaning by Rug Men'? What an odd slogan. Oh well, it has
worked for 97 years, so what do I know? I'm picturing the Rug Men as this
sort of cartoonish rolled up carpet with hands and feet. I'm sure the
actual Rug Men would be disappointing in comparison. This sign is at Sacramento Rug Works.

This vintage Greyhound Bus terminal in Redding still features
the greyhound icon on top of its marquee.

This trailer park or 'villa' still has a nice boomerang sign out front.
The Walnut Trailer Villa seems to have fallen on hard times, though.

This Shoe Repair sign is all but a sign from the old Main Street
America days.

This old neon sign points the way to the Children's Hospital in Oakland, CA.

Not used to having funeral chapel stuff here at Roadside Peek,
but this sign was too good to miss. Looks like the parts of the marquee
itself may have contained working neon back in the day. Not sure if this sign is just for the parking area at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel.
