One characteristic of "googie" signage is utilization of different
types of shapes to make up a sign. For example, Simon Rents uses an oval,
rectangle, and boomerang arrow to make up its marquee. Here's a cool sign for Callan Realty Co. located in San Francisco.

Here's another old sign for Bubble's Bottle. Not sure what kind of place
this is, but at the least the sign attempts to look vintage.

The Powder Box Beauty Salon in Albany, CA features an
old sign (circa 1940's-50's), which was recently re-painted, and now looks
"new". Though the sign looks clean and new now, wonder what
this sign will look like decades from now.

a reminder that this country was once based on cobblers and trades.
