7up signs used to be quite prevalent back in the day. Here's an old weatherbeaten one.
This lantern sits outside of the Town & Country Village in San Francisco.
Check out this unique sign for the Western Appliance store in San Jose. The sign also looks pretty good at night.
Andy's Pet Shop features a gem of a sign. This colorful marquee sits alongside the main thoroughfare in San Jose.
The Redwood City area features this sign for Raul's Pet Center, complete with fish.
The Econo Doormasters marquee on the rooftop of the business features a grinning character, pressing a button on his chest - he's a garage door remote control device! Check out the night shot of this one.
Why does the name Pollardville bring up images of a chicken? Ah, because there's one on the sign here at the Chicken Kitchen Family Restaurant.
The Orchard Supply Hardware store sign still points the way in off the main drag.
'Rug Cleaning by Rug Men'? What an odd slogan. Oh well, it has worked for 97 years, so what do I know? I'm picturing the Rug Men as this sort of cartoonish rolled up carpet with hands and feet. I'm sure the actual Rug Men would be disappointing in comparison. Many thanks to Dave van Hulsteyn for photo and info.
The glass on this neon still look ok, so the lack of nighttime neon on this sign for the American Poultry Co. may be more of a store decision than anything else.
