a heyday. It's the Gallon Theater. The Galion was built in 1949 and was recently restored.

Regent Theatre

Springfield, Ohio is the home of the deco Regent Theatre.
Unfortunately, the Regent is on the list of defunct theaters.
Norwalk Theatre

The Norwalk Theatre of Norwalk, OH is a standard neighborhood
theatre that fortunately still looks to be open for business.
Will Rogers Theatre

The Will Rogers Theatre in IL is a great place
to catch a $2.00 first-run movie. Or at least marvel at
the past colors and deco structure. The Will Rogers Theatre opened up in February 1938 as a single screener. The theatre added a second screen in 1984. The theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as of 1984.
UPDATE 09/17 : After some hard times, the theatre closed down in 2010. There are now new owners as of October 28, 2016 and restoration will be taking place. 09-17
Heart Theatre

The Heart Theatre of Effingham, IL makes abundant us of architectural
glass block. This theatre may still be in business and proudly displays
reddish heart lettering above its facade.
UPDATE 11/07 : The Heart Theatre is located on the downtown square in Effingham and is for sale. It looks in great shape though. Many thanks to Alan Culley for update. 11-07
